This versatile arrangement for seven Brasses, Organ, and optional Handbells, Timpani, Chimes, and Suspended Cymbal can be played as an instrumental piece, a congregational accompaniment, or a concertato with the addition of the reproducible SATB Choir and congregational parts which are included. This is a big, festive piece with brasses in typical fanfare mode, and very active handbells and chimes.
Composer Profiles
Thomas Pavlechko graduated from the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University, Ohio; and he received his Master of Music degree from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. He has held church positions in Ohio; in Fairfax County, VA; in Austin, TX; and now at Calvary Episcopal Church in Memphis, TN. He has served as chapel musician and adjunct faculty member at institutions of higher learning. He serves on the Liturgical Music Editorial Team for the Renewing Worship project of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Thomas compositions have been sung at national conferences of the Association of Anglican Musicians, the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, and The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada. His many hymn festivals have included one for the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. His other publishers include Augsburg Fortress, Church Publishing, Inc., Covenant Publications, Hope Publishing Co., and Selah Publishing Co.
